Steel shot choke tubes pattern steel shot extremely well with a longer parallel section for less flyers and denser patterns. Made of 17-4 stainless steel with knurled extension.
Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lead Free Turkey Loads Hunting in the infamous California Condor range, I needed a choke tube to handle tungsten turkey loads. I bought this a few years ago and it was worth every penny. This tube makes jelly heads at 40+ yards easy. Your not counting lethal pellets on a turkey target, your counting the chunks of paper on the other side. Nice spread, accurate, and trust worthy. February 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Choke I have knocked down more birds with choke tube and some at the 50-60 yard range. I haven't had any issues or complaints. Great product. January 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by No other choke tube compares There are choke tubes and then there are Carlson's choke tubes. At every competition or shooting event I have ever been to, I would guess that over half of the shooters carry Carlson's tubes. I was turned on to these tubes about 6 years ago as a gift. These came from the owner of a very high end gun shop where the average cost of a gun was triple my monthly paycheck and I could not pronounce. He told me Carlson's were all he stocked. This man does professional gun fittings for people around the world and is world renowned. That being said, he only uses the best of everything regardless of cost. This really impressed me and got me excited to try these. I like odd length barrels. I'm not really sure what it is, but I am more accurate, bring down more birds and win more shoots with them. The Carlson's stick out 1 inch giving me that odd length barrel. This is also nice as you can tell immediately what choke you have in your gun. If your using an over & under or side by side, you can tell which barrel has which choke in a second. If you have them loose in your gear bag, the same applies. The paint that the lettering is painted with, holds up well. The same chokes I was given 6 years ago, still have the markings on them. I clean the threads of the tubes and my barrels after each outing. 6 years later, they still screw in and out of the barrel as tight and secure as they did when new. I have had some other chokes in the past not fit very flush inside the barrel. This leads to build up of plastic from the wad and over pressuring. I have never had a blow out, but it still worries me to have the build up. The Carlson's fit flush like they were machined for that specific barrel. My improved and full have seen more use that I can count. I would safely put the rounds through these at about 7500 or more. I have no idea what the warranty or life expectancy of these chokes are, but 6 years and 7500 rounds with no issues is great in my opinion. Keep in mind, these chokes are very expensive September 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Carlson Super Steel Choke Tubes I recently bought this choke tube for my Benelli M2 12 gauge shotgun. I wanted a choke that would shoot consistant patterns at 35 to 40 yards. This choke tube shoots an awesome pattern and is very worth the money it costs. When shooting steel shot, you need the right choke for the job and this is it! I highly recommend Carlson Super Steel Choke tubes to anyone wanting to have their shotgun perform its best when shooting steel shot or Hevi-shot. April 22, 2011

I cannot speak for the improved or full choke, but I dropped a goose at 60+ yards with a modified carlson choke tube and the new Remington Hypersonic shells, 3" BB's. Any geese within 40 yards are dead before they hit the ground.
