Before purchasing this jacket I read many reviews.
I stand 6 foot 7 and was concerned about other reviews regarding a poor fit of the "Tall" cut sizes. They typically said that the waist line was too short.
Well I am very glad to say that my jacket fits very well! This is a work jacket folks, it is not a sport and leisure coat that is supposed to go half way down to your knees. It should stop just below your belt line and my jacket fits exactly this way. The sleeve length is very generous. They stop just past my wrist. A perfect fit once again! I like the elastic inner cuffs too. They do a great job of keeping the cold wind out. The adjustable waist straps make a great fit there too. No wind gets in there either. The duck fabric does not let wind penetrate it either. The jacket is very comfortable with no tightness around the shoulders when lifting or moving objects overhead.
The insulation is the best I have encountered short of a snowmobile suit.
The pockets are generous and I really appreciate the zippered inner one.
Overall I highly recommend this jacket if you want a hard working, warm, wind proof, well fitting outdoor work jacket.
Oh yeah, the bad zipper comment that I read... The Zipper is a YKK brand, one of the best available anywhere. It takes alot to mess up a YKK zipper but nothing in this word is perfect. I figure that their issue is a "one in a million chance" problem and I am betting that Carhart took good care if it for them.

Found i was being moved to Norway in February and needed something to withstand my work and the elements. Well i found it in this jacket. It cuts the wind and cold instead on them cutting my. It is comfortable to wear and allows me the movement i need to get the job done.

This product is excellent for both work and free time spent in nature, is a large comfortable and durable wear at work. I have this jacket fourth year, in addition to several abrasions as a new.

Rated 2 out of 5 by rcstoreman every morning complaint
Every morning my husband and I leave for work together, I hear a complaint about zipping up the Carhart jacket. The jacket is 4 years old, yes he enjoys the warmth it provides in the N.Y. weather, but he has broken a zipper and we had it repaired. It did not help with the morning complaints. It seems to have a tough start when trying to zip.
