Rated 5 out of 5Â by CDS013 LOVE this jacket!
This jacket in Blue Dusk (size small) was a Christmas gift to myself this year. I've wanted a Carhartt for a while now (because everyone I've talked to that owns one LOVES theirs) and I needed something that would not only keep me warm (because I freeze at work in the winter) but on that could hold up to how bad I destroy jackets (the one I had was not Carhartt and beyond repair after a year of wear & tear)
The color is BEAUTIFUL! It's almost a periwinkle color and while my favorite color is pink I'm thrilled with how pretty this is in person. The jacket while a bit heavier than what I'm used to wearing seems like it will hold up well. The zipper runs pretty smoothly and the lining is wonderful. Tested it out when I had to run to the car. I normally FREEZE in any sort of weather below 40 degrees and like a friend at work told me, "cold air will NOT go through a Carhartt" I was absolutely amazed that I was nice and warm inside this coat. Its nice to know I won't freeze at 4 am when I have to leave for work in the winter. Its also roomy enough that I can squeeze my rather thick hoodie underneath it.
My only semi-complaint is that being a bit style-conscious I kind of look like a big purple/blue marshmallow when its all zipped up. (I know I know its whether or not it keeps me warm and lasts the test of time) but to be honest I'm super happy with my purchase and will be ordering more from Carhartt in the future!

Great fit, very comfortable. It fit a little larger than I expected but will accomodate layers, so it worked in my favor. Can't wait for it to be cold enough to wear it.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Fogcentral Never wearing anything else
This is probably the most amazing jacket I own. I got it as a birthday present and am never going back to a normal fleece again. It is perfect for the fog and the wind that I get plus I wear it to the barn and get mud all over it but never on me!

For example how sleeping bags will say, "use in -20 degrees!".... well, how cold is too cold for this coat?Answers

This is not a cold-weather jacket by any means. It's just for when it's chilly enough, you need more than just your T-shirt. I would say you'd be chilly in this jacket if it was 45 or so degrees or less. I used it for walking in the early morning, but it's usually at least 50 degrees. Hope that helps!1 of 1
