Carhartt Loose-Fit Straight-Leg Jeans for Men
Definitely NOT Loose -- Doesn't Fit
I have an older pair of Carhartt loose-fit jeans. Those were not quite as nice as the heavyweight Silvertab jeans I used to buy, but they were A LOT cheaper, more durible and almost as comfortable. If it weren't for poorly designed shoes tearing them up, I could probably wear them every day for another 4 years. Overall, a really great deal on great jeans.
I thought I was ordering pretty much the same thing, but with these, they took 5 inches off of the size (circumference) of each thigh. These jeans also have a notably longer inseam than 30" I ordered, but that is at least fixable. If Carhartt hopes to be aimed at hard working physical laborers, then these definitely aren't loose cut. These especially aren't the loose that I've come to expect from Carhartt. Had they been properly labeled as relaxed fit, I would have known to stay away. Now I need to find another jeans company.
Outside of removing 5 inches off the , the quality looks to be fairly good, with some impressive stitching, but sizes jumping around so much is a definite mark of non-quality.

First pair of Carhartt jeans. Opted for 'loose fit'. Much better quality and workmanship compared to other major brands. From the triple stitching on the inside seem, to the extra heavy zipper, to the weight of the material, the difference in quality and workmanship is very noticeable. I would change one thing though ... for 'loose fit' jeans, they could stand to have a little more room in the seat.

I use to wear the loose-fit style b167 which are no longer made. i had called the 1 800 number on this web page and asked the nice lady if she could recommend a pair of loose fit style that is as close to the style i once wore. She recommended this style and i am very please that i followed her advice. they fit just like my old style did and that is the best feeling in the world. very very happy.

I used to wear 569 Levi's and I loved them. But recently Levi's decided to modify there 569 style and the result was a thin, shallow pocketed, tight fitting garbage that in my opinion was absolute rubbish. I tried other companies but found that there pants were pretty much the same rubbish. So I did me some research for what seemed like weeks on end and found these pants. After I ordered them I pretty much expected to get the same rubbish that I had been getting from all those other companies. However, these pants are freaking radical. There tough and they fit like a loose fit cut. I kinda feel like these jeans are the last of the Mahicans in the jeans world. The only think I have to complain about is there's only one color selection. I like a darker jean. But if I have to sacrifice a bit lighter colored jean to get a quality product, I am more than happy to do so. Buy these jeans, they go above and beyond my expectations.
