Carhartt Extremes Arctic-Quilted Active Jac for Men
An okay purchase.
I was in desperate need of a new jacket and carhartt has a wonderful reputation for their durable and warm jackets. With that being said I started looking for jackets and came across this one. Overall this jacket is very warm and durable! The only complaint I have is that it is SO stiff. If you want a durable jacket your going to have tough fabric.. I have only worn it a few times and it is already starting to loosen up. Another thing is you should be really careful when choosing the size. I am 5'11" so first I got the Large/Reg I got it and it was so baggy. I sent it back and got a Medium/Reg and it fits perfect. Overall this is a very nice jacket.

First bought this coat with some regrets due to the stiffness of the fabric and just figuring it wouldn't keep me warm here in the nice cold Minnesota winters. But after a few times out with this coat and it has changed my mind and everything I might have once thought about the coat. This coat is very warm and does great here in the wind and snow that we have been having of late. Today was one of the windiest days on record here in Minnesota and I can honestly say I was hot with this coat on and the temps never got above 5 degrees.
This coat is well worth the money and the little bit of stiffness that you have to deal with just remember this coat keeps me warm here in Minnesota it will work for you in your state.

I bought this jacket for our Annual New Years trip to the high desert. The weather drops to freezing temperatures where we camp and I wanted to be sure that I would be warm for the trip. It didn't dissapoint. It kept me warm all week long. It was very comfortable and durable. As avid Offroaders I wanted something that would be warm and hold up to some abuse and not be to bulky, this did it all. My husband tried to steal it multiple times so I will definitely be buying another one soon. I also loved all the pockets it had, I was able to carry my keys, phone and camera, gloves and glasses with me all week long and not have to worry about losing them. I would deffinitely recommend this to some one that wanted a great warm jacket!

Not what I was expecting.
After reading glowing reviews of the product I figured I would give it a shot. First thing I noticed were the un-lined pockets. Seriously? 120 dollar jacket designed for "arctic temperatures" and you just sew a flap of material on? Secondly, this particular material will take months to work in. I understand it's made for extreme durability, but what do you do in the mean time, look like a fool with your hood laying in some ridiculous position? Thirdly, I purchased an XL/TL and it had so much extra bulk around the belly and just barely enough length im 5'10. If I had sized down to a L/TL it would have been even shorter. I returned the jacket the next day. I know there are many many people on here that are thrilled with the product, I am just not one of them.
