I love woodfire cooking, and this Camp grill
is wonderfull. One idea I think would help
woodfire chef is a stainless steel windscreen
on three sides. I would help direct the heat
and fire, and help lessen the effects of a windy day. But it is still a great product

exactly what we were looking for
This product was exactly what we were looking for. Me and a couple buddies of mine go surf fishing on Chincoteague Island a few times a year and to save cost we camp out. To save space we picked this up a few years ago instead of lugging around my Weber. We just dig a hole for the camp fire and put this grill right over it for cooking. It holds all of my cast iron very well as well as a great cooking surface for steaks, chicken, burger ect... It has held up to our usage very well and shows no signs of wear.

Since i as having a campfire anyway, what better use than to cook with it also. Very ingenious. I always had to invent something just so i could heat up some water n the morning for my coffee.
Where was this twenty years ago>

Well worth the money
We bought the 36x18 version several years ago and it works great. The center will warp a little when it gets hot, but does not affect the ability to cook on it. I will buy again if this one ever wears out.
