excellent product I am very happy with this bipod. It is very sturdy and has very little "wobble" to the construction. The legs easily adjust for various shooting heights. I prefer to shoot off a bipod for target shooting and I add a cushion to the buttstock of the gun. With this bipod you will be rock steady! December 6, 2012
Caldwell XLA Bipods This bipod was very easy to install. It took longer to get it out of the package than to install on a Savage 110/270and a Howa 1550/300WMG. The height adjustments are easy and smooth. On click of the button and the legs drop. I am very satisfied with this product. July 30, 2010
Caldwell Bipod This bipod attached great to the Marlin XL7. All you need to do is make sure to "snap" it in to place so the bipod base rests against the stock. Push the sling swivel stud through the base of the bipod and then secure. October 20, 2009
Good for the money Good buy for the money. I should have gotten the next size up, but oh well. My only complaint is that when folding/unfolding the legs, its hard not to hit the release button so the legs often extend on accident. November 19, 2010

Has anyone used these out of a deer blind? Also, any problems with installing one on a Cooper 243?

Thank you

A:
They require a front sling stud to mount onto the front of the forend.
In a blind the legs might not extend long enough to prop you above the window, so you may need a box or table to jack it up.

Excellent for prone shots, longer legs for sitting or squatting.

A:
SKU 1593767 would be the best option for blinds. There is no guarantee that it will work out of any and all ground blinds due to the height being adjustable to 13”-23”.

This bipod attaches to the front Swivel stud of the firearm. Thank you.

Yes. I'm currently using this bipod on a Savage 93r TR. There is a slight gap along the center, but still plenty of contact along the outer edges.

A:
No I do not think it would because of the action/cycle of the rifle. This does not mean that there is possibly a system on the market that WILL work. I just don't feel this would be a good choice for a pump action rifle

As long as your rifle has sling swivel studs on it you should be able to use this bipod.

This should fit with great ease to your Savage. Depending on how high you want the rifle the Caldwell XLA Model Bipods should do a very nice job. I have mine set between 6-9", and I am very pleased with its perfomance.
