Great Investment! I purchased the Caldwell XLA Fixed Model Bipods for my Remmington Model 710. Attaching the Bipod was a snap. No tools required, I had it on within minutes of opening the package. I was even able to re-attach my rifle sling to it! Unfolding the legs to adjust the proper height is quick and silent. This is perhaps the best investment I have made for my Remmington! Big Was only a little more expensive than the smaller ones so I figured it was better for the money. Didn't really picture it being this large. It's pleanty long enough without even extending the legs. Would recommend getting a smaller one. I'd imagine with the legs extended it would be good for shooting while you're squating on the ground. Caldwell Bipod The Bipod fit very well to my Remington Model 700 300. Magnum. Very tight up against the stock of the gun and works very well. Have used during target practice but not during a hunting situation yet. Look forward to using it in the morning. Definately look into getting this Bipod for your gun, for the money it can not be beat. November 19, 2010
Good for the money I got this product for christmas 09 and put it on my Remington 700 SPS in 22-250,and it fit just nice and was very tight..I got the 13"-23" for coyote and predator hunting. While I havn't got to actually try it out on a hunt,I have used it just shooting, and it does feel solid and I am very pleased with, couldn't ask for more... Has anyone used these out of a deer blind? Also, any problems with installing one on a Cooper 243?

Thank you

A:
They require a front sling stud to mount onto the front of the forend.
In a blind the legs might not extend long enough to prop you above the window, so you may need a box or table to jack it up.

Excellent for prone shots, longer legs for sitting or squatting.

A:
SKU 1593767 would be the best option for blinds. There is no guarantee that it will work out of any and all ground blinds due to the height being adjustable to 13”-23”.

This bipod attaches to the front Swivel stud of the firearm. Thank you.

A:
Yes. I'm currently using this bipod on a Savage 93r TR. There is a slight gap along the center, but still plenty of contact along the outer edges.

A:
No I do not think it would because of the action/cycle of the rifle. This does not mean that there is possibly a system on the market that WILL work. I just don't feel this would be a good choice for a pump action rifle

This should fit with great ease to your Savage. Depending on how high you want the rifle the Caldwell XLA Model Bipods should do a very nice job. I have mine set between 6-9", and I am very pleased with its perfomance.
