Cheep and poorly made. Returned product. Expect better products from Bass Pro Shop.

There are wonderful. I couldn't believe it. They muffle loud gun sounds but allow the human voice to come through at a perfect pitch. I don't "yell" at people with these on because I can hear voices well enough that I respond in normal tones. Removing the battery covers is a bit difficult and I cannot use them with my rifle. For that reason I rated them a 4 instead of 5. Some models have a recessed lower portion that won't interfere with rifle placement. I use them when I shoot my pistol, and when I am the range safety officer. They are esp good at an indoor range. If the batteries go, you can still have excellent hearing protection you'll just have to do a better job of lip reading.

They do everything they are supposed to do. The only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating is because they have two little "red" indicator lights that will probably screw up a good hunt some day. Most likely I will cover them with tape. Other than that they are great and well worth the money.
