Extra Limb! I purchased this rest after having a total shoulder replacement surgery two years ago. I love shooting long range and had just had a new long range rifle built, before I found out I would need to have my surgery. A Dr. friend told me about this rest, I got one, and with-in three months of my surgery I was able to shoot under 4MOA groups at 900 yards. I did have a flyer once in a while but, all in all, made shots I couldn't have even tried without this rest. I have also used it turkey hunting with my crossbow successfully. So far, 27 coyotes, two turkeys, two whitetails, one elk and hundreds of rock chucks have disliked this rest immensley. October 15, 2014
It is what it claims Light weight, easy to carry and set up, but practice a couple times before going to the field with the rifle(s) you will use. I might even suggest marking it with the balance points for each firearm. I shot at both the range and in the field while shooting prairie dogs (20+ MPH crosswind) While it is not a bench, it was far more stable than shooting sticks or monopod, at least for me. It was considerably more stable when I was sitting on the ground and the Field Pod was in a lower position, but it was still stable enough at full extension. I shot using a .22 Mag at the range, .243 bolt action 22" bbl and .223 Model 700 SPS Varmint rifle(26 " heavy bbl) in the field. It was quick to change balance points on but as I stated I suggest marking them for quick reference. I can't wait to try it coyote hunting though it will be quite a bit more bulky than shooting sticks, however I feel considerably more stable. Am I glad I bought this ? Yes ! One more thing- Be careful when tightening the thumbnuts. June 11, 2014
Holds steady Bought this for my son to use in the ground blind, He really likes it and so do I. Holds his rifle and shotgun steady as a rock and has really improved his accuracy. I have been using it with my X-bow and think it is as good as a bench. I got the camo model when it was on sale and think I should have bought two because I'm not sure if I can convince him to share. Good Product I bought the FieldPod so that my 9 year old son could hunt. We have used it with a crossbow and a rifle. It is perfect. Easy to set up. Light to carry. Very stable. Very well thought out. Adjusts to any size weapon. I even use it for him to target practice or to set a rifle scope. It is easier to set up than a shooting bench and lead sled. I highly recommend this product. November 15, 2013

I shoot my long range .300RUM custom on this without any problems. The total weight of my firearm with scope is 13lbs 9oz.
The rifle is 54" over-all with a 143/8" LOP and a 30" barrel. It holds it up without any problems. I think it would support up to 25lbs easy.
