The 4 gallon Cajun Fryer by R & V Works features carbon steel construction with a hight themp charcoal finish and two nickel-plated baskets with cool touch plastic-coated handles. The versatile, high performance, low maintenance propane fryer's burner design positions the fryer's heat source 6'' above the bottom of the oil reservoir at a 45 degree angle. This design allows food and batter to fall to the bottom of the reservoir and not collect on the burner. The oil at the bottom of the reservoir never gets hot enough to burn or scorch the batter, keeping it clean to reduce oil usage by up to 70% over comparable fryers. 4-Gallon Fryer holds two 11" x 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" baskets. Made in USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 Southern Fried happiness
This fryer is the best- solidly built - great design.
I have owned my fryer about a month and couldn't be happier. I have fried everything from chicken fried steaks to Twinkies. It's so nice to taste freshly deep fried chicken
I went with the four gallon model. I can do more than 20 wings at a time. Takes 4-5 minutes per batch so I can't wait for our first summer party when I can show off my new wing fryer.
I am still on my first oil. I have strained it and I would guess the manufacturers claim of 25-30 runs before changing will be accurate.
Also mine came without a thermometer.(things happen). I was a little bummed with BASS Pro Shops response but after calling the manufacturer (number right on fryer) I was taken care of immediately. Great people, more than willing to stand behind their American made product.
I have owned two restaurants and used many commercial fryers and I wasn't disappointed in this item.
I recommend highly.
Remember - order at least the six gallon model if you plan on using it for turkeys. Even then it will only do smaller birds so go as big as you can afford for turkeys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dougie1 Best fish fryer by far
I bought this fish fryer because I was so impressed with my friend's. I would recommend it to all my friends. It is easy to use, cooks really great for big gatherings, or small. Your cooking oil lasts really long, and everything taste great, from the fish, the hushpuppies, to the potatoes!

I have fried fish for over 50 years.......fish cooker and cast iron pot. I thought that was the only way. A friend had one of the R & V Works 4-gallon Cajun Fryers at our hunting camp.......I couldn't believe how much fish he was turning out and the grease temperature stayed essentially the same. Needless to say, I purchased a 4-gallon Cajun Fryer the next week.....I couldn't be happier. I have contacted the people at R & V Works with a couple of questions and I have to say that they have the best customer service anywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cowley Great Fryer
After reading Fishguy's comments I was somewhat reluctant about buying the 6 gal. fryer, but ordered it anyway. One of my hobbies is project building and welding, this thing is well built and there is nothing flimsy about it. We have used it to fry fish and whole chickens. Our friends state that food is some of the best they have had. Recovery time for the next load is almost instantaneous. Cleanup is simple compared to other fryers I have used, drain the oil for storage, hose out the settlings, dry out the chamber and coat with Pam or oil.
