I got this just in time for my big summer fishing trip. With no time at all to check it out before we went, I was very happy how easy it was to Use. Along with being easy, it was very comfortable and the quality was over the top. I have had a couple of other tubes over the past several years, but this is the best yet.

The navigator II is a nice lightweight pontoon that moves across the water very nicely. I agree with the gentleman who removed the upper backrest bladder and used it for storage...I did also as the support in the U bladder is excellent. The trick to getting the bladders to fill up the pontoons is lots of air. The valves on the pontoons could be better. The are difficult to access with the U bladder filled. It would be better if Caddis put the same valve on the pontoons as is in the U bladder left storage pouch. The U bladder needs to be filled to the max or the stabilzer bar sinks deep into the bladders. I have a rod holder strapped on one side and my "fishin' buddy" "tube mount" on the other. My first trip, taught me that you can not tighten the tube straps too tight. I had to loosen both and once I did that I could get the right amount of air in the chamber...and that was to the point I could not blow in anymore. Once I solved those issues which were basically a "getting to know you" problem, I have found that this set up is great. The extra straps for my extra rod are great...as I lost some velcro attaching my accessories. If you use strap on accessories...you might want to look at other inflatable pontoons with more space for add-ons. But, other than that this was a good purchase, moves well in the water and is easy to add backpack straps to and light enough to carry. I am a professional angler and fishing report website publisher and I am happy with this purchase but Caddis could make some very minor improvements.

I HAD ORDERED 2 OF THE NAVIGATORII FLOAT TUBES FOR A UP COMING RIVER TRIP. LUCKILY WE HAD DECIDED TO MAKE A SHORT TRIAL TRIPBEACAUSE
1 OF THE PONTOONS HAD A SLOW LEAK. OTHER THAN THAT THEY PERFORMED WELL, EASY TO GET IN AND OUT THE WATER AND A VERY COMFORTABLE FLOAT.I CALLED CADDIS SPORTS TO REPORT THE PROBLEM ON MONDAY AND HAD A REPLACEMENT BLADDER ON THURS

The navigator 2 float tube is a very nice tube. It is easy to use and a good fishing platform. I like the size, accessories, comfort , storage of the tube. I would like to have a larger padded seat. I live in Ohio and all float tubes with more then one cell must be registered with the license visable at all times. To register a "boat" you must have a HIN and the tube does not have one. I had to have a "hull inspection" to get the proper registration.

I have gotten used to the added safety of a center (crotch) strap on my last 3 tubes. All float tubes allow you to slide down in them when you are paddling, and I like the support and safety of that center strap.I am in need of another tube and would like to know if this has that center strap before I order, and the local BPS did not stock this modelAnswers
A:Â
There is no strap. it has a wide swing style seat. I have no slippage issues and can easily adjust my seating with no problem. I have never slid down to "paddle" I use dive fins to move about and to hold my position when needed.A:Â
No strap, but not an issue for me. Probably could add one using carring loop in backA:Â
No center strap.A:Â
mine does not, i dont like the center straps, if you roll over it takes longer to get to the surface, i dont think there as safeA:Â
The Navigator II does not have a crotch strap.Details:Â
Can a small person use this tube comfortably? 160 lbs. under 6'.Answers
A:Â
Yes. I have a friend that has one who is 185lbs and 5-8. He loves it...A:Â
Yes, I am 6 2" and 215 before putting on waders but not an issue if smaller. Plenty of room but I think the big floats on bottom are the key for big guys. You sit high in the water which I likeA:Â
yes , you will sit a little higher but moving along is very easyA:Â
I'm 5'5" and 160 lbs and have no difficulty with falling out. There is some slipping forward and pulling yourself back, but by reading some of these reviews it appears to be a common trend.A:Â
