Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by great gun/poor sights I bought this gun to replace my older sidelock. The gun shoots very well and sights in well using the scope. However the Durasights leave a lot to be desired. I had mine adjusted as low as the rear sight would allow and still shot 3" high. I contacted CVA and they did send me a taller front sight. The package says its for the Optima pistol. We'll see how that works. Very quick customer service from them though. Also the sling mount holes on mine were too small to install the swivels. Again contacted CVA and was told to drill and file them out. This worked but really guys, shouldn't of been an issue in the first place. Overall I feel the gun is worth the money but CVA does have a couple of bugs to work out of it. January 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Excellent Muzzleloader I just purchased a CVA .50 caliber muzzlelioader 2 weeks ago. I love it. It shot a 1.5 inch group at 100 yds., using only 7 bullets. I have now purchased two CVA .50 caliber muzzleloader "Value Pack" for my 2 sons. It's like shooting a rifle and I am very pleased with it. July 12, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great package When I first took the gun out of the package I didn't like how barrel heavy it was.But it shoulders great, and I add a little weight in the stock to balance it even more. For the first timer its a good starter package. The DVD is very informational on muzzle loader basics and cleaning. Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Deal Bought this little package opening day of Muzzleloader Season in VA and after Bass Pro team members mounted the scope took it out in the woods and bagged a dandy of a 6 pointer. Easy to load, unload, and clean and what a deal at this price. Works just as good as a top price T/C but a whole lot cheaper. November 4, 2010

I went ahead and bought the rifle. It does come with the sights. But, it looks like the mounts for the scope prevent you from using them. I'll see what I can do to find a different mount kit.
