Received my order today, and let me start by saying that BassPro and Fedex are a great combo...super fast shipping!!
The muzzleloader came with the 209 ignition and breech installed. Comes with an extra breech plug, and #11 and musket cap nipples.
Stock is solid..no cheap hollow stock here!!. Bolt works perfectly, though the ejection feature ONLY works with 209 primers..and the manual states this.
Sights are awesome, and adjustments are a breeze!!
The barrel is a Bergara barrel..and is stamped as such. These are top quality barrels, same as more expensive ones. The rifling is cut deep, which allows fors years of use!!
On to accuracy....right out of the box,it shot a 3/4" 3 shot group at 50yrds...and held the same at 100yrds.
I used 2 Pyrodex 50/50 pellets and a Barnes 265 gr MZ Expander bullet (sabot).
The groups actually got better the more I shot,as the barrel got "broke in". Make no mistake...this is a HIGH QUALITY muzzleloader, and out performs my others that cost 2 and 3 times as much!!!
Im already saving upto buy another as a back up.
The ONLY difference in the Elkhorn, and the high dollar guns that you see in videos...is that this one shoots better and costs HUNDREDS less.
I really cant say enough about it....its just one of the best rifles Ive shot in the last 30yrs!!!!

Anyone on the fence about this rifle, need not be shy. I took it to the range recently and was more than happy with my purchase. The rifle is weighted well and shoulders nicely. The trigger is what you would expect from a mid-range priced gun. The bolt is very nice, there is a very pronounced click when it engages the primer edge and spent primers are ejected as advertised. The primer blast is contained well, there was no powder residue on the bottom of the scope when I was finished at the range. Cleaning and loading were both very easy, two to three shots between cleaning is well within the limit. As far as accuracy goes, I was over the moon when I found the rifles sweet spot. Two Triple Seven pellets (50gr.) and a 245gr. Barnes Spitfire MZ; was my rifles sweet spot. I was able to consistently print 1" groups with this particular load. I'm looking forward to hunting with the rifle this fall, it's a wonderful gun at any price.

I love the rifle. I use 100 gr 50/50 triple seven, with a 295gr powerbelt plastic tip. tight shot groups even at 100 yds. haven taken several deer with it. Only problem i have is CVA when needing repairs. Had problem with trigger assy. which they replaced. but sent back with ground down firing pin in bolt. When called. they said that was normal to ground down a firing pin. Not where i come from it's not, unless you don't want the gun to work. Then wanted me to send back at my cost to fix there problem. thats when i went a little off and had the guy patch me over to there supervisor. they sent me a firing pin at no cost, but took over a week for them to mail it. i recommend the gun, but not CVA tech people

I purchased this muzzleloader two weeks ago and still have not been able to use it because they are capable of 3 different ignition systems but don't come with all the parts. To fire caps you need a different blot face and firing pin according to the CVA rep that I have been speaking to for the past two weeks. In the Pacific Northwest 209 Primers are not allowed so I ordered this muzzleloader because it can use caps but the parts must be special ordered from CVA. Customer service will make you pay shipping on the parts they don't include. After all this it is two weeks later and they claimed they were shipped until today and the customer service rep found my invoice in a pile that was on its way to shipping.
At least he was honest and said there was no excuse for them not shipping the parts. He even offered that they could overnight the parts for only an extra $20 but they still would not leave shipping for a few days. I said no and he said it will take 2 weeks for the parts then. My season ends next week so it really doesn't matter.
Poor quality and poor customer service
Bass pro is in no way related to any part of this issue
