It utilizes the same hydraulic actuator and will accommodate clamp-on or bolt-on motors without an adapter. This saves you time and money!

I purchassed and installed the CMC PT-35 power trim & tilt unit and find it works as claimed. The installation took some time because I wanted to ensure I had the right location prior to drilling holes through the transom. The installation instructions are slightly confusing but after some thought my installation went smooth. My 25hp. Mercury now tilts with ease and operation in shallow water is greatly improved. I would be open to answer questions on the instalation. (Bill)

I fish Reelfoot lake in Tennessee, and there are a LOT of trees, stumps, logs, and other vegetation all over the lake making this lake one of the best fishing spots in the country. There is always stuff hanging up on the lower unit causing you to have to lift the motor out of the water to clear the vegetation! I am having to do this as many as 10 to 20 times per trip to get to some of the crappie and bass hot spots. I decided to install a power trim unit, and boy am I glad I did! It has worked like a charm and saved me countless trips to the back of the boat to clear these hang ups. I have had this unit installed for several months now with no problems what so ever! I am not sure how well this unit will hold up with the constant hitting of stumps and other things in this lake, but so far it has been a dream come true for me! The only thing I wish came with this unit is a trim gauge and the mounting bolts. Other than that, I love it!

I bought this for my Tracker Grizzly & Mercury 4Stroke 25 HP motor. It took my son & me over 12 hours to install! Not designed for the Grizzly boat as it hits on all bolts on the braces. Bottom hole on motor is not down far enough; misses mounting block for motor so can't put bolt there.Top bolt holes need to be down at least 1/2 inch more because we almost drilled through transom brace. Directions never mentioned in-line fuse so looked for hours when the item didn't work. Finally found the blown fuse. In order to make it work on Grizzly, had to put 1/4 inch plate shim to make it come out far enough for the bolts.

Tested yesterday for the first time, it' s the solution for "out-of-the-hole" problems I had with my Tohatsu 25/35.
The installation is simple and easy but the instructions are not 100% precise: I followed step by step the manual and now the motor is too high and I have to redrill the transom to lower it a pair of inches so BE CAREFUL during the installtion!
Anyway a good product and very fast service by BPS, thank you.

I have a tiller handle 1983 25hp 2 stoke Mariner Sea-pro, that is on a 14 ft flat bottom wood boat, was wondering if this would be able to be used on a tiller handle.Answers
A:Â
The following is from the manufacturer. The PT-35 will accommodate a tiller type motor. In fact most of the motors that go on the PT-35 are tiller motors.
The most important thing about mounting a motor to the PT-35 is the width requirements. We have made the PT-35 so small and compact, some motors are too small wide to fit on the PT-35. Please measure the width of the clamp feet (outside to outside measurement) and any bolts that mount the motor including the head of the bolts. If the measurement is 11" or less, that motor will fit. If the measurement is more than 11", you would have to go to the PT-130 which will accommodate any motor up to a 130 H.P.

I have tried all the different tilts holes on the motor. The top speed I get is 21 mph. Thank youAnswers

The PT35 gives you a more stable ride, increases top end speed, more prop clearance and better fuel efficiency. In addition, you might check with CMC for technical assistance by calling 580-252-1699. Thankshttp://www.cook-mfg.net/contact.htm...
