A proven performer, CCI® standard primers deliver trustworthy performance for home reloaders. Easier to seat than older-style primers, CCI standard primers feed more smoothly in today's progressive and automated loading equipment. With its clean-burning initiator compound, these non-corrosive, non-mercuric primers deliver a clean burn to leave primer pockets cleaner for greater accuracy and more shots between cleanings. The increased sensitivity design also provides a larger ''sweet spot'' for better use with guns that sometimes deliver off-center strikes.

  • Better sensitivity for more positive firing in all guns
  • Non-corrosive, non-mercuric - clean-burning for greater accuracy and more shots between cleanings
  • Easier to seat than older-style primers
  • Smooth feeding in progressive and automated loading equipment
  • Continually tested design
CCI® Standard Primers 5 5 1 1
Best primes around CCI Primers are my #1 primer for most of my hand loading. They are very consistent and seem to fit a tad more snug that the other brands. I have had trouble with other brands of primers falling out or coming loose after a case has been reloaded 5-6 times. With CCI's, I have never had that trouble. These were recommended by several top shooters in the USPSA leagues I shoot. On a hardness level, these primers around about #4 with #1 being the hardest. I have used them with AR style weapons that can punch holes in primers and soft striking competition handguns. Of all my years of loading, I have never had a miss fire using CCI's that was linked to the primer. When the trophy is on the line, or a match can be turned around with a miss fire, I cant afford junk primers. CCI is it for me. I didn't see the Bench Rest primers listed to do a review on, but I wanted to give them notice too. They have all the same features as I listed above with one added. They are the cleanest burning primer I have ever used. When using the BR primers, I don't have to clean my primer pockets near as often as with regular primers. Saving time on loading is always a plus. September 9, 2012

The BR2 is a Bench Rest primer. Higher quality control and just all around made better. They are for match grade ammo. Aside from plinking, all my ammo is loaded with Bench Rest Primers

A:
The CCI BR2 Primers are the Benchrest primers which are tuned to the highest degree to produce match-winning results. These Primers are produced using the most experienced skilled personnel who put the priming mix in the cups, so you get the same flame, shot after shot. They also use specially selected cups and anvils for added consistency. The #200 are standard large Rifle Primers.
