C&H Lures' Rattle Jet XL is a highly productive lure that produces an amazing bubbling and rattling action guaranteed to entice dolphin, wahoo and tuna to strike. Rattle Jet XLs are effective when fished plain or combined with natural bait and the most popular natural bait combinations are ballyhoo, cigar minnow or strip-bait rigs. Pre-rigged with a single hook on 6' of 125 lb. mono.
Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Rattle Jet I bought a small pink Rattle Jet and caught numerous fish with it. The skirt unglued from the head but I solved the problem with a piece of copper wire around it. Since the pink one I bought 2 more of the larger size 7" and have fished a purple one 1 time but no luck. I am fishing this week end so will try again. Should work good if the fish are nearby. Seems like a good lure, especially for the price.......it will catch fish. April 8, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by King Fish Catcher Took a couple of these along on for an off shore trolling trip on 07/11/09 to Aransas Pass, TX aboard Low Key. I caught 5 nice size kings and a barracuda with the silver/yellow and lumo green head. July 13, 2009

As far as I know you can use any type of lure with a planer. They just dredge deeper and avoid alot of seaweed when deeper.
I catch dolphin and tuna like crazy with the small C&H Pink rattle jet. I always have at least 1 in the water. The larger one not so much. Had a big fish hit a large size rattle jet, pink...but the fish took the lure with him.
