Butler Creek®'s Flip-Open Cover is completely weatherproof for the ultimate protection of your expensive optics. This cover keeps harmful debris from scratching and damaging your lenses. The reliable flip-open eyepiece cover features a red button opener. The objective (muzzle) cover features push tabs. With the push of a thumb, both of these covers spring up and out of the way. Sold separately.

Select your covers by measuring the outside diameter of the 2 scope bells (objective and eye piece). Using your measurements, reference the cover measurement listed in the chart below. Select the cover that is the closest to the measurement with .01 under size and .025 over the size range.

Butler Creek Flip-Open Scope Cover 3.7 5 33 33
Break Real Easy The caps fit are fair. They have a tendency to "creep" more onto the scope, at which point they won't close very well. At the point where they have the "flip," has very little material, and will break very easily. They have a tendency to open while you are still hunting. Thus when you go thru brush, they open easily and then break easily. It's really a shame they aren't made a little better. It would only take a little more material to fix the problem, but I guess Butler doesn't care, as long as people unknowingly buy them. By-the-way, you are required to buy at least 2 at a time. What's that all about? Attached Picture Isn't very good, but it gives you the idea. December 24, 2011
Butler Creek Caps for Target scope This is the second set of caps I own, the first is on my deer rifle. This is an excellent product, with three main issues: 1) they will spook a deer beneath you if you flip them open quickly - the little pop they make alerted a doe beneath me this past fall 2) Measurement can be problematic - they are made to fit within a range, and knowing the exact size of your eyepiece and objective lens is very important - if the cap is too small, it won't close properly and might not stay shut. Too large, and it slips off. 3) They are a little pricey - $12 each is about twice what I would expect With a better size guide, with specific scopes listed, I would give this 4 1/2 stars January 20, 2011
Good product I have used Butler Creek lens covers now for 20 years and all of my rifles(more than a dozen) carry BC covers. They have been belly crawled through brush and dirt, snow storms, rain and pestilence. I don't know about the other reviews but I have never had an instance of failure. Besides if these covers are good enough for our armed forces they are definitly good enough for me. Keeps rain and dust out of the lens very well. As for the sound you put your hand over the cover so as not to make the "pop" sound. And the reason you have to buy each end separately is that all brands of scopes are not the same at each end. But I would like the see the covers at a cheaper price when buying two. January 6, 2012
Must have These caps should come standard with every scope. I have had these on every scope I have ever owned without any problems. Works well to protect high price glass. Nice and quiet as well; there is no pop or crack when you hit the cap release. January 1, 2008

Hi, you will want to select your covers by measuring the outside diameter of the two scope bells (objective and eye piece). Using your measurements, reference the cover measurement listed in the chart below. Select the cover that is the closest to the measurement with .01 under size and .025 over the size range. Thank you!

I took my scope to the store for an exact fit. Even though there was a size recommended, I found a small size fit better.

try going to or calling the companies that make the scopes they will tell you or web look up the specs or if you have something like a cloth or paper tape measure just measure round the outside at each end of the scope.there is a difference between the actual glass and the scope tube. hope this helps.

No, they come as a single cover because it's hard to get set sizes. The best thing to do is bring your scope to the store and try them on individually.
