Rated 5 out of 5 by Bushnell xlt I installed the Bushnell scope on a new Rem 783 in 30.06 and was amazed at how quickly everything came together. Used fewer rounds zeroing in that I ever have in the past. Impressed with the clarity and ease of use. August 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Scope I bought the 4-12x Scope with DOA about a year ago and am very pleased with it. It has adjustable focus and adjustable Zoom (which I found about 6 months after I bought it) with the DOA it is by far the best scope you can buy for the money. I like it more then other scopes that cost more. Any other Rifles I buy will have the same on them. The only complaint I have is the lens covers kinda get in the way of the barrel if it is focused just right, but not bad at all though. April 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cannot go wrong! Bushnell quality is not lost on this affordable setup. it looks good and has close eye relief (perfect for my .17hmr). I am satisfied with this investment. 4-12x40mm September 3, 2012

Hello, the DOA 600 is a great reticle. You would sight in the center at 100 yards. The mark below this will be 200 then 300..... Here's our guide to the DOA reticle, the 600 starts on page 12; http://www.bushnell.com/getmedia/f578c006-fc40-40a6-b76c-ab7a972bcdae/DOA-Reticles_6LIM_rev3_web.pdf?ext=.pdf

as long as it's AO or paralax adjustable (rimfire is usually parallax set at 50-70 yards) most scopes are paralax set at 100 yards and fixed.

A:
The 4-12X40 Trophy XLT will work great on a 22 long rifle. You'll have the option to adjust your parallax setting to match the distance your shooting.
