You can choose from two built-in Selected Targeting Modes: Rain Mode permits distance measurements in inclement weather, and Reflector Mode enhances the maximum distance to special reflectors (targets) with an internal electronic readout. Each model features ±1 yard accuracy, quiet operation, and automatic shut-off for longer battery life. All units are water- and shock-resistant and include a carry case and neck strap.

Designed in conjunction with the bowhunting legend himself, this ultra-compact, lightweight unit helps put your broadhead in the sweet spot from treestands like no other thanks to Angle Range Compensation. Digital inclinometer measures angles from -90 to + 90º with +/- 1º accuracy. Bow Mode provides true horizontal distance from 5–99 yards. Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by easy to use thiswas my first range finder i have owned and so far it has been a great buy i find that it is easy to use and it stays out of the way when tou are at full draw... i also like how it turns it self off after you use it August 5, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by meh... I bought this range finder because I thought the angle compensation feature would make a bid difference in a 20ft treestand bow hunting. Not at all. Even when you are 30-40yds out, the angle only makes a 2yd difference, tops. Also, for whatever reason, it didn't always work. I would push the button and sometimes it would give me a range, and other times, same exact target, nothing would happen. Took it back. November 28, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pretty darn good! This product does what it is supposed to do and does it well. It's handy, light, and compact. Easy to use, even for those of us over 70 years old! :) I don't even need my glasses, to use/read it! I used this product during both bow and rifle season. The only improvement I can think of, that would make this even better, is if the thing would talk to me...and, of course, know when to whisper if a deer happens to be in range! LoL November 5, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for bow I wanted a fast simple rangefinder for bow hunting. This is it good price great performance now that i have it i wouldn't leave without it well worth every penny. October 24, 2011

a gimmick that really doesn't make a difference 99% of the time. For a bow hunter, you're really never going to shoot at anything more than 30-40yds, and the angle only makes a 2 yd difference, max, that I found. I can't imagine shooting a long distance straight up or straight down.

I took it back and got a less expensive model without the angle compensation.

It adjusts the range automatically for different heights and angles associated with tree stands or side hill hunting.

Staff Answer
A:
ANGLE RANGE COMPENSATION (ARC).
Extreme up- and downhill angles alter true horizontal distance. ARC instantly accounts for the angle when calculating distance so you know precisely where to shoot. Hit the FIRE button and it calculates the “shoots-like” distance based on the angle of your shot.

A:
I have encountered good battery life .
when not in use, when in storage; i remove the battery from the battry compartment which eliminates power draw on the battery. I have owned this item for 3/4 of year and still using the same battery that came with it.

The battery is lithium. I go hunting about 4 days a week. I've only had it 3 weeks, but I haven't had to change the battery, yet.
