i love the scope. very clear and can see images very cleary even out to 600 yds. i put it on my savage 110 300 win mag and am very glad i did. all of the people who have shot the rifle with the scope ask how much i payed and when i tell them they say wow. very please with the product

Yes, I would reccomend it. I have one on my Savage 16 classic .308 It performs well an holds up to the recoil.

Eye relief is the adjustment on the eye piece of your scope, that depending on your eyes distance from the eye piece will make your view through the scope clear at that position.A:Â

I have 2 of these scopes.........1 on a cva kodiak .45 muzzleloader and the other on an enfield .303 and they say you have 4 inches of eye relief and this has been true in both cases. Especially the enfield because it wasnt made to have a scope on it, but I didnt have any problem at all.

It is the distance between the optic lens and your eye. I have come to learn that more eye relief means more chance to screw up a high pressure shot.Details:Â
hi,i don't know what scope would be best for me.i will be deer hunting with a Remington sps in .308.
because of the terrain where ill be hunting, a +500m shot would be rare.
i am interested in buying the Bushnell dusk and dawn scope.i bought a pair of redhead binoculars and i am very impressed.im wondering if redhead do something similar.
ideally i don't want to spend over $200 and would prefer a mildot.

After just owning one of these scopes I would pass if I was you. I am very familiar with the rem 308, I was in the US Army for 8 yrs. I would recomend one of the new Redfields with the accu reticle. I just bought one to see if I could find a good scope under 200 as well. I put it on a tikka 3006 and it is deadly from 100 to 500 yds. It should be awesome on your sps. Hope this helps. I do recomend Bushnell in their Elite series but they get very pricy. ThanksA:Â

Almost any quality 3x9 scope will be all you will ever need. The bushnell scope is on the cheap side of good. There are MANY better choices in the $200 an under price range. The Nikon 3x9 Prostaff is far superior and well within your budget at $159.99. The Prostaff also can be had with a bullet drop compensating reticle for ten bucks more.A:Â
Hi Brian,My advise would be to spend the money now for a quality scope so you don,t end up like myself with a broken scope in the middle of a season for the second time like I have. The cost of the trip and your time is worth the extra money now or like myself, The cost could be unmeasureable

A 30-30 is a close range gun. You're not going to be shooting 300+ yds. Any scope will do fine, just don't go crazy on magnification. A 2x7 variable would be fine or even a fixed 4 power. If you go with a fixed 4 power you can get a better brand name scope for less money than a variable.A:Â
you simply dont need an expensive scope for a 30-30 seeing as they are really not meant for long distance shots, if your looking for superb quality go with a nikon prostaff, its price is 159.99 but if you ask me a $50 3-9x40 bushnell off the rack scope will do just fine for a 30-30 because you really shouldnt be shooting more that 150 yards with that calliberAnswers

Yes, I dont know how far you are planning to shoot but it will serve every purpose you need. Mine is able to hit a 4x4 square at 150 yds easily.Details:Â

With optics you get what you pay for. the more you spend on a scope the better it usually is at dusk and dawn. Nikons prostaff 3x9 has a BDC for $169 and is a very good scope.

Depends on your primary hunting spot. The BDC is designed to assist hunters that often take shots at 200, 300, 400 yards, etc. If your favored spot does not present many long-range shooting opportunities, the BDC would not give you any advantage very often. As you said, the Dusk and Dawn coating will always give you a few more minutes of hunting in any hunting location. You will just have to analyze your favorite spot or spots and decide which of these two will serve you better and most often.Q:Â

A 50mm is a BIG scope. You may need to see someone local and have it installed. Tall rings may work but only if you don't have iron sights ( the front of your scope will hit the rear sight).Answers
