Rated 5 out of 5 by These are Awsome for dusk/dawn This is an amazing item for dusk/dawn or other low light hunting. I hunt in an mountainous region but allowed to hunt 1/2 hour before/after sunrise/sunset. When a mountain top or ridge blocks the sun for additional periods, I would be out 2 bolts without these. I left one burn out, battery lasted 4 days. Very bright to day 3. January 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome for vets with disablities As a combat wounded veteran it is important to see where your arrow is going and to be able to see your game once it is down. For you disabled vets, The hunt is not over. These arrows help you hunt longer and more often. We can't be looking for arrows with our disablities. December 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by well made The Excalibur luminoks are put together better than the others look at the nock and you can see the difference it is worth the extra couple bucks. Excalibur also knows this and warns you not to use the other bolts with luminoks because the nocks not being centered can cause a dry fire. The fire bolt luminoks are awesome. November 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Deer down Very good product ...no scope adjustments needed, ready to go deer down at 42 yards. October 22, 2013

Yes per the previous question and answer, for distant shots use lighter arrow faster. for close shots heavy arrow will penatrate deep and do the job with less drop in flight. Yes, they work great. Just add the bolt weight to your fieldpoint or broadhead weight to meet the minimum weight recommended for your crossbow.

For the crossbow bolts, they were bright for 3 days, very dim on day 4 and almost not visible on day 5. Some are, others may not be.

I've had Lumenoks for three years and two batteries went dead in the off season because I didn't disengage them fully from the shaft before I stored my gear. the batteries are lithium and are replaceable.I replaced mine and haven't had any problems since .

A:
i lost an arrow and found it five months later and the lumenok was still working

Yes, they work great. Just add the bolt weight to your fieldpoint or broadhead weight to meet the minimum weight recommended for your crossbow (I think it's 425gr but verify this).
Scales are a fairly inexpensive way to verify.

I recently bought a set of these. They are 20" and are actually genuine "Excaliber" firebolt carbon arrows with factory installed flat red Lumenoks. Mine look and work great. The fletchings are all and identical dark green color.
