Caught a three pounder on the 1/2oz within the first 10 casts. The head rode up the line like it says but when I went to reset the head on it did not want to stay on and was really loose. Also, the hook needs a trailer keeper on it. My co-angler had the same problem but ended up breaking his off in the brush.
I will return this one to BPS and try another since this one is faulty. I hope it works because I like the capability of changing the weight.

You need to go down to 3/8 oz to 1/2 oz. 3/4 oz Jig is nice but just too heavy for our lake.

I just love this jig. It saves a lot of time not having to change jigs in different situations. i USE A SMALL SNAP ON THIS JIG WHEN SURCHING TO FIND A GOOD PATERN. THE OUTHER DAY i WAS TRYING TO FIND A PATTERN AND WAS FISHING SHALLOW SHORE LINE WITH A I/4 OZ HEAD. THEN I RAN INTO SOME THICK MAT AND SWITCHED TO THE HEAVY HEAD IN A MATTER OF SECONDS AND PUNCHED SOME HOLES IN THE MAT AND COUGHT A COUPLE OF KEEPERS. tHEN THE STRUCTURE CHANGED AGAIN SO i SWITCHED BACK TO A LIGHTER HEAD AND GOT 2 MORE KEEPERS WITH OUT EVER RE TYING. i JUST LOVE THIS JIG. iT HAS A GOOD HOOK SET. NEVER LOST A FISH. i CHANGED THE WEIGHT ON THE JIG 3 TIMES IN A 400 YARD STRETCH OF SHORE LINE AND HAD A LIMIT OF 5 BASS IN THE LIVEWELL.
