A: 
Absolutely, it is the only one that I use. Depending on the shape of the Swimbait you may want to cut the very end of the nose off so that the jig head fits flush with the lines of the Swimbait. Makes it more lifelike.

This item would be great in conjunction with the Alabama rig, however, any darter or swim style rigging should help to keep the lure swimming in the correct direction and the Alabama rig performing as should be.
