I spend a lot of time in the Northern Canadian bush and small pocket knives like he stockman have proved more then essential backpacking the deep woods. I personally carry an Enzo Tapper and a Buck Trio as my main knives while in the field. Although nothing will replace a solid fixed blade, I find myself using the Buck Trio a lot more then any other knife. The fit and finish is great, edge retention is acceptable and the size is perfect for edc and just the right size for detail work that my Enzo is just too wide to do.
I've carried this knife for about 2 years and only when I know a knife is as tough as I need it to be will I recommend it or give it as gifts. All my hunting and fishing buddies will have a new Buck for the up coming seasons.

I was very skeptical to purchase a Chinese made Buck knife. Curiosity got the best of me, and I made the purchase. I have dozens of knives, and almost always buy US or Japanese made knives. I have been pretty rough on this knife and it has held up. The steel holds a very sharp edge, and it has yet to show any signs of dulling. 420HC steel is not exactly the highest quality, but I am very surprised at how well this knife has performed. If you need a good knife at a very reasonable price, try this out!

Great knife. I ordered for my Father in Law and he loves it. Sharp as can be right out of the box. Well made and a perfect size to carry every day.
