Purchased this knife because of it's slim and lightweight design. This knife has quickly become my favorite knife. I wear it on my belt daily and don't even remember I have it. The handle is very comfortable and easy to hold. I have not had a chance to use it for skinning yet but plan to soon. Honestly can't think of anything about this knife that I don't like.

It is a good knife. not great, not bad, just good. It fits my hand comfortably. The edge is sharp out of the box but dulls fairly quickly. I think this knife would be a handy tool to have if a person was only planning on skinning one deer in the field. Anything more than one and the blade would need sharpened. I used the knife to skin 2 racoons and one coyote. By the time I got done with my bottom cuts on the second coon I noticed the blade had dulled significantly and i then had to re-sharpen it before starting the coyote. Although, I do like the curvature of the blade because it helps reduce "poke-throughs" while skinning the tough parts.

Got tired of lugging around a heavy guthook knife, so I ordered this. Put it in my pack on Friday, forgot about it until Tuesday when I used it to dress and skin a 9-point buck. Still scary sharp when I got done. Great tool.

this knife is ok, but would have preferred a high carbon steel like O1 steel for fire lighting with a firesteel. VERY sharp out of the box.

I had a stainless one but lost it, and am leaning toward the black if it actually has more grip. Not concerned about the looks. (It has been my experience that some black coatings wear off over time...)Thanks!

You can't kill it. Almost a cordura type sheath. It also has a plastic insert to protect it from the blade.A:Â
The Cordura sheath surrounds a hard plastic liner. All very tough.A:Â
The included case is pretty good, but a bit light. It will do fine in a pack, but not sure how rugged if worn on a belt long-term.A:Â
It is a nice sheath but the strap is easily cut so be careful.. I suggest you buy kydex and make your own sheathA:Â
