I put down the machete. This knife fits perfectly in my hand, and slices through hide like a hot knife through butter.

This is a great knife, a classic. The quality is outstanding for the price of this knife. Only downside is that the handle gets a little slick when it is wet. The blade is a little long for my liking when it comes to cleaning game, but that is personal opinion, and cannot take away from the overall quality of this knife.

I think it's hard to beat the Special's handle design. I have one in about every type of material and have no issues with maintaining grip, even when wet.A:Â

How does this knife hold up compared to one with a full tang??Answers
A:Â
I got my first Buck 119 over 30 years ago. Currently I have about a dozen and have never seen one break. Not having the full tang, in my opinion, lightens up the knife a bit which is good if you are carrying it around all day.A:Â
Don't know why full tang matters - but this one works well.A:Â
super never had a problem with these knives. i have had one for over 12 years and still as strong and sharp as when it was newA:Â
I have been carrying this knife since 1963, to include several combat tours in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. I still use this knife for all my outdoor needs. The only problem is that the Sheath usually wears out in about 15 years. Wouldn't trade it for any other knife!Answers

China, but it is good. I am hard to please and have some expensive stuff and this fits in for its purpose nicely.1 of 1
