This is a great knife, a classic. The quality is outstanding for the price of this knife. Only downside is that the handle gets a little slick when it is wet. The blade is a little long for my liking when it comes to cleaning game, but that is personal opinion, and cannot take away from the overall quality of this knife.

Withstands the test of time
I was 15 years old when I bought my Buck Special for use when fishing, hunting and around the farm. It has been with me on almost every experience I've had outdoors. It has seen some harsh times. I have now owned the knife for 22 years and it is as strong as ever. I sharpen every season and it's good to go. I would trust my life with this knife in any outdoor situation.

This knife is great for the money. Very tough and durable, it can withstand alot of abuse and still stay sharp and ready for use.

I have been carrying this knife since 1963, to include several combat tours in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. I still use this knife for all my outdoor needs. The only problem is that the Sheath usually wears out in about 15 years. Wouldn't trade it for any other knife!
