Blade snapped right at the handle where the tang starts. Very weak tang.

Unreal knife.. Once again buck shows how to make a knife. The cherrywood handle is extremely durable, as is the blade. The shealth puts storing this knife in a safe manner out of your head - perfectly molding case with easy and smooth unshealthing. Fairly easy to cut and maintain a nice edge. Would strong recommend this knife over the bone handle... see the Buck Bone Series 119 Special Fixed Blade Knife for my review on it.

This is an extremely nice Buck. I collect 119s and this was a great addition. If your a fan of the 119 this is a must have. The 119 is one of the most dependable knives and I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable fixed blade.

No serial number on the blade. On mine it says on one side:BUCK
119 ( -
U.S.A.
The dash in the ( - is actually a period, but couldn't put the period in that correct position. So is ( . but the . needs to be in center, like ( -
The other side is blank.

The knife has no serial number but does have the usual Buck markings on the blade just above the handle.Details:Â
Many knife companies are now out-sourcing their knives and some of Buck's knives are in that catagory.Answers

The little plastic insert in the sheath does say Sheath made in Mexico, I'm assuming the knife is made in USA, it does say USA on it.The sheath is very nice though.

Many of Buck's knives are made in China. But they still make many models in the United States. Look for the USA marking on the blade and/or the American flag on the Box to be sure.A:Â
This knife is made in Taiwan.A:Â
Yes, this knife is made in the USA. The only knives I'm aware of that Buck has outsourced to China are some of their cheaper fillet knives, gadgets, nylon sheaths and some small pocket knives. I doubt they will outsource their mainstay knives anytime soon or ever. BTW the cherrywood version is beautiful, I'm saving money to get either that or the Cocobolo version myself.1 of 1
