Skinned three deer with this knife this season with ease. Gut hook is just right for a deer hide and the blade holds it's edge very well. Very adequately sharp out of the box. Cleans easily under the tap and a couple drops of lube at the hinge and your ready to roll again. Watch your finger on the spine of the blade. The gut hook is deep enough to nick your finger tip if you're not careful. Not the best knife for skinning for that reason, but excellent for field dressing. MADE IN AMERICA. Lifetime warranty.

Got the rosewood model. Good weight. Well balanced. Feels good in the hand. Holds an edge well. What more is there to say? I'd buy another one tomorrow if I needed another knife.

I ordered this knife a few weeks ago and then used it for the first time on an elk. I had to "saw" through the skin and the gut hook would not pull through the skin. I thought it would be ready to go right out of the box, but I was very disappointed in the sharpness of the blade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by chevy08 great knife
i have used different kinds of knives from my sons medium sized fixed blade to the famous KA-BAR, but this knife cut through 4 bucks and a few squirrels and it still keeps its sharpness. i've only sharpened it once but it still keeps on cutting.
