Right out of the box, a Buck Knife is sharper, keeps its edge longer, and is easier to resharpen when needed. That kind of quality begins with Buck's standard 420HC martensitic stainless steel which comes from specialty steel mills in America. The steel is furnace heat treated and tempered for toughness.
The original lockback hunting knife with Buck's famous razor-sharp, edge-holding blade. Features natural woodstain handles and brass bolster/liners. Includes a black leather sheath. Blade length: 3-3/4". Closed length: 4-7/8".

When I first started hunting with my dad he gave me a Buck Stockman and he used a Buck 110. Both of those were lost to posterity through college and various moves.
I recently purchased both to relive my youth and they were just as I remembered them. Sharp, held an edge, and look like they could last for generations.
If only Buck would use new technology and add a GPS function, then they would probably last forever.

Bucks have been good to me since I was in my early teens The buck this one replaced I had for 38 years. It really hurt to lose it. I think if I had to find a bad point to Buck Knives I would have to say the chance of losing it is greater because of how often I use it. I guess that is what they are for though. They have not changed much over the years still a great edge, stays sharp blade opens real smooth but does not get loose.
I love my buck and it was worth the bucks spent

The Buck 110 is a great American made knife. It is very sharp from the factory. I have used the Buck 110 to gut fish and skin rabbits. Just a great knife for what ever the job is.
