Rated 5 out of 5Â by Mural Great aerator
I purchased the Bubbles Livewell Top to help keep minnows and fish alive when out with my son canoe-fishing. The aerator is small and it clips to the top of the bucket lid with a metal clasp. Although it is a bit loud, the aerator provides a good amount of oxygen and has kept my minnows alive throughout the week. It has not been exposed to rain or bad weather yet, so the jury's still out on that test. So far, it's working great though...

None better on the market. I've used one for years and is easy on batteries as well as doing a great job.

this product is solid I ran the bubble box for almost 48 hours on one set of D batteries. and kept all my smelt alive I had about 10-15 smelt in the buck all the time. The only thing I noticed was that when I started to put live mackerel in they used to much of the oxygen and began to die. Mackerel use a lot of oxygen and this pump wont pump enough of it in the water. But for smaller bait fish it works great.

The description for this product does not indicate if the product has an attachment / place to hang aerator? Also, it looks like there is a hole in the lid for the air hose, but item description does not indicate this? Lastly, is the aerator pump waterproof? Thanks,

There is a metal clip, which has so far worked well. There are also a number of holes that you can run the hose through. Not sure if its waterproof yet. Hopefully.Top 10 Contributor

Yes on all questions except the last one, pump is not waterproof...it hangs outside the lid parallel to side of bucket.Details:Â

No but its extremely easy on batteries. Also batteries mean it can be used away from the boat.Answers

You should be able to use this in salt water just make shure to rinse it off after you use it.A:Â
You might experience a little more corrosion in the battery compartment over time than you would if you were using the livewell in freshwater, but it will work with saltwater. Hope this helps.1 of 1
