Browning® X-Bolt Hunter Rifle
I am a huge Browning fan! However, after two hunting seasons with this rifle I was ready to sell it. Could not get this weapon to shoot 1 inch group to save my life. Then, after having several different grains of custom rounds made and fired I found her sweet spot. Now, it is truly my weapon of choice. I do not like the trigger as tight as it is and you cannot reduce the pressure to less than three pounds. This weapon takes some experimentation to obtain an extremely well performing rifle. But, when you get there, hang on!

@ 600 yds
Bought the 300 WSM in November 2013 and it has been to the range 6 times, approximately 200 rds. Today, using 180 grain out to 600yds (hit) everything below (hit). Gearing up for pig hunting October 2014. Viper PST FFP 4-16x50 scope. The bolt action takes some getting use to for the 300WSM (shorter draw back). Other than that, Happy Trails.

I bought this rifle in the .308 the other day and I am totally satisfied with it. It has the exact amount of kick you would expect from a .308 and the butt cushion really helps absorb some of the shock. The bolt is smooth as glass.
Be aware that Bass Pro does not sell the X-Bolt high ring set needed to mount a scope, you will need to go to somewhere else to purchase this $75 item.

I own the 7mm08 and the kick is very jarring......my Ruger M77's kick is better than this one....
