Rated 4 out of 5 by palsharn2 Very good hunting coat
The Upland Canvas jacket that I recieved does not have a detachable game bag as stated in the jacket description. This was a feature that I really would have liked to had with this jacket. Other than that it is a well designed jacket. The weight of the jacket is what I wanted, the pocket expander system is a great feature as is the zip off sleeves. The overall quality is what you would expect from Browning.

I bought the coat for pheasants hinting in South Dakota. The first weekend I wore it the temperature was in the low 50's. I was wearing a t-shirt and had to take the sleeves off the coat because it was hot. This weekend it was in the 20's, there was plenty of room for me to where a sweat shirt under the coat and I stayed nice and warm. The game pockets are easy to use and there seems to be plenty of pocket space in the coat. Coat is very well constructed and even wearing it through briars and thorn trees there is not a mark on it.
I would tell anyone looking for a great quality coat to buy this one.

I have used this jacket for pheasant hunting in south dakota for 3 seasons. Very tough, very versitile, and very roomy. love the shell holders that flip out to make reloading on the move a breeze.

Purchased this last fall for pheasant hunting. A great jacket with storage galore. Handled the brush and thickets with no problems at all. Not one snag or tear all season long. Converts to a vest is a real +

Yep. .Medium insulation...wind resistant..roomy for layering.. I just wore it in 33 degree weather with snow all around... worn with a flannel shirt underneath. It was nice and warm..the day warmed up and I was fine in 50 degrees by zipping off the sleeves. For cold weather ..Its roomy so I'd wear a shirt, sweatshirt and the jacket..I'd be fine...
The vest part of the jacket is very warm. The sleeves are a bit thinner though. When it is really cold (20degrees or less) I wear a sweat shirt under the jacket and it's great. As for wind you are good with this jacket, it's canvas. If you are looking for a cold weather hunting jacket this is it. Good luck!
