Rated 5 out of 5 by BSAleader Great value This set is a great value, getting the dutch oven, skillet and gloves for close to the same price that I found just dutch ovens for. I bought this for the scout troop I work with. We took it on a recent camping trip. We cooked multiple meals with the oven and skillet and they worked as well as two other ovens we have. The gloves are excellent when working around a fire handling lid holders and moving coals/charcoal for the dutch ovens. November 9, 2012

The lid-lifter shown in the photo is a Camp Chef lifter. Camp Chef is an American company that makes all their cast iron in China.

Lodge is the last foundry making cast iron cooking products left in the US.

No, this in not made by Lodge Mfg. It is another brand altogether. It may be good, but it is most likely not made by a company that has been in the cast iron cookware business for well over a century.

Supposedly yes, but mine came very dusty with metal dust and has a very porous surface. I recommend a thorough cleaning and oiling prior to use.
