Rated 4 out of 5 by NOODLE ROD This is a very nice rod,i am very happy with the quality of it and plan on many years of use.I purchased it because I love my other noodle rod,9 1/2 foot mitchell, but i am scared to keep using it as they no longer make them which is why i bought this one, only drawback is that i do not think it is soft enough to use 1 or 2 # line as stated,i will stick to 4# ,other than that,A VERY NICE ROD January 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Rod. Drift4Steelies this is the second browning six rivers i have owned, the first i bought several years ago. i still use the first one and its to me like new with the hundreds of fish that have been caught on it. i love how it hasn't changed much at all. no change needed. thanks browning and bass pro !! i am always satisfied with your products January 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Rod, But... I use this rod for mostly "float" fishing with a center pin reel and #4 line. Everything works great, the only problem is thats it a 2 pieces rod, ( so it can be hard to out into the car at the end of the day). Better it be a 4 piece. September 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME I own one of the older 10' 6" models that I purchased for an unbeleivable steal of 39.99 on clearance just before the current model came out.It was the best 40 bucks I ever spent..With the addition of a handle weight kit it is one of my favorite all around rods. With 4 to 8 lb. test you can cast a mile. I use it all the time for anything from bluegills and crappies to largemouth bass , northern pike, salmon, trout and even carp. I absolutley love this rod. If you would like to experience the thrill of a fly rod but with the ease of a spinning rig I would highly recommend this one. April 23, 2012

With the length of the rod, the extra long foregrip allows more area and option to find your leverage point when fighting a fish, with center pin or spinning reel.
At least that's my reasoning behind its design.
