Both Browning and Bass Pro Shops are committed to ensuring quality experiences for all outdoorsmen with well-designed, well-made products that perform under the toughest field conditions. Because salmon and steelheading techniques have evolved beyond the traditional drift methods employed in the Pacific Northwest, the Six Rivers series continues to grow. All Six Rivers rods are built on sensitive 36 million psi graphite matrix blanks and feature Fuji® aluminum oxide guides and Fuji graphite reel seats. Grips are premium Portuguese cork. Extendable butt models offer cam-lock tighteners that can be adjusted on the fly to the precise length that gives you the best advantage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Got Noodle I always wanted the length and parabolic of a fly rod but to use with a spinning reel so I converted a short 7'6" 5weight and it's been one of my main trout poles. Then I fished next to a guy using this noodle rod and WOW, what a cool rod...and it's the shortest of the noodle rod lineup..9'6"...still plenty long to give that nice bend but with strength! This rod is FUN to catch fish on.... I waffle back and forth if I should've gotten the 10'6" and maybe I'll eventually get it as well, but the one I have now fills the bill just great...and of course, Browning super quality! Rated 4 out of 5 by NOODLE ROD This is a very nice rod,i am very happy with the quality of it and plan on many years of use.I purchased it because I love my other noodle rod,9 1/2 foot mitchell, but i am scared to keep using it as they no longer make them which is why i bought this one, only drawback is that i do not think it is soft enough to use 1 or 2 # line as stated,i will stick to 4# ,other than that,A VERY NICE ROD January 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Rod. Drift4Steelies this is the second browning six rivers i have owned, the first i bought several years ago. i still use the first one and its to me like new with the hundreds of fish that have been caught on it. i love how it hasn't changed much at all. no change needed. thanks browning and bass pro !! i am always satisfied with your products January 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Rod, But... I use this rod for mostly "float" fishing with a center pin reel and #4 line. Everything works great, the only problem is thats it a 2 pieces rod, ( so it can be hard to out into the car at the end of the day). Better it be a 4 piece. September 4, 2012

Answer this Question

Answers

A:
With the length of the rod, the extra long foregrip allows more area and option to find your leverage point when fighting a fish, with center pin or spinning reel.
At least that's my reasoning behind its design.
