1A Purchase Purchased the 7'MH(10-20Lb Line) Version and used it for my fishing Trip to Spain (overseas) (CASPE ) (Ebrolake Lake Fishing) for to catch Large Mouth BASS, Walleye and the local catfish(Up to230lb). Been going there already a few years. I used the Whiplash Pro Crystal ~30lbs test and caught a lot of fish with this rod. The rod did not even give up on my 2 catfish(5ft,6' and 6ft,3') the were a hard fight to get(pictures added) . Bass 6-12Lbs, Walleye's up to 26Lbs joined in on my vacation with this rod. Works more than great I can say. Even when fisahing the Dam in Escatron I hooked carps up to 50lbs in the curents unwanted and even got them landed after great fights on this rod. Will be pruchasing the same one agin and the ML on my next order. To bad That only 2 pic's can be submitted. Will be back for more October 29, 2008
Safari Rods! I have used this rod (7' MH) from Puerto Rico to Hawaii. It is my MAIN travel rod for ALL Inshore and Freshwater fishing. I have caught everything from 12" Trout, to 4' Sharks, to 40" Reds. It has always performed flawlessly. I could not tell I was using a 3 piece rod. It never separated (A new Experience for me! Most travel rods separate after several casts or in mid fight, even some $250 HIGH BRAND NAME RODS!) or even got loose. Very sensitive and plenty of backbone when needed. I highly recommend this rod!! February 12, 2007
Great deal on a Travel Rod I searched the internet looking for a quality (spinning) travel rod for casting lures along the beach when I travel. I was discouraged at the high prices I was finding for a rod(s) I'd only use for travel.Glad I found this one!! I purchased a 7' Med Hvy in August 2014 for a beach trip to Florida. It's lightweight and the 3 pieces fit together, cast, etc like a much higher priced rod. The positive reviews are right in my opinion and the price is fair. It came in a quality hard case with the Browning logo and a soft material "slip" inside that you slide the 3 rod pieces into. The case fits easily in an overhead bin. I'm stoked! September 18, 2014
Browning Safari Travel Rod Finding this specific rod was not easy...however, ordering it from BassPro made it simple...the service was excellent...this rod will go with me to Alaska this summer Bush fishing and from all that I can tell from practicing with it, will be all that I had been looking for...I am a raftter with my own gear and space and weight are a serious factor with airline weight restrictions and running two hundred miles of river to reach an out point...so, I believe this rod will be a very good addition and will well handle all of my needs quite well...I fish for and release Salmon, Leopards, Rainbows, Chars, Grayling, Dolly Vardin and Lake Trout on this trip. I can only answer for the 6' 6" four piece one. Case is 24.5" long. Am sure the 3 piece rods are longer. Will depend on your luggage. I take mine in checked baggage.
