so far so good
only had this reel in the water once . Feels pretty good. Very solid construction. Paired it with a 6 ft prodigy rod with 10lb berkley flourocarbon. Looks great and feels great. If it is anything like the brownings ive had in the past it should last for quite some time

Great Lightweight Reel
Well, I haven't tested it out on the water yet, but I've received it today and it feels like a sturdy well-built reel. It's much lighter than my Quantum Energy reel, even though its 1 size bigger. The bail is constructed very well and looks a little better than my Quantum as well. My quantum has some problems with getting the line into the line roller right away, this reel does not. The bail click is also very easy to activate once you turn the handle unlike some other reels that force you to jerk the handle pretty hard. The drag feels great, and has an even distribution unlike some other reels that take a hard jerk to activate the drag system. Compared to my $170 Quantum, this reel seems to match it in terms of quality. The only thing different is that I can tell my Quantum requires less effort to reel because of how insanely smooth it is. Nonetheless, this reel is decently smooth as well for its price. Depending on how you look at it, the reels grip is either a pro or a con because of its size. It has a little bigger grip than some reels, and my Quantum for sure. I know when I'm in a hurry to start reeling after a hookset, it's going to require less effort to find the grip though. The colors match very well together as well, and is a very nice looking reel.

Just got two of these reels as birthday presents. Used them on five trips now, caugt several bass from 1.5 to 5 lbs. Very impressed with both reels, there is no line twist at all. First spinning reels that I've used in years that will not twist mono. Reels are exceptionally smooth and lite. Time will be the test for durability.

I would suggest using a ultra light noodle rod in the 7' to 8' length for a matchup to this reel. Suggestions for rod maybe a Daiwa Spinmatic, Phenix Mirage, Shimano Compre or Bass Pro shop's Microlite series.
Rod size and style depend on presentation. You will need a spinning rod for your reel. Since this is the smallest of it's class, you may prefer to go with a lighter reel as this will match up better for most applications.
