i bought this rod because of the price and the advertised exposed blank reel seat. when i got the rod it was not an exposed blank reel seat at all. i am not sure that it was even a through the handle blank. needless to say, i sent the rod back for a refund

for what? Muskie yes pickeral no?Details:Â
I would like to pair one of these rods with the calcutta 400b but I don't know which rod I should get. I held both in the store and I think the browning rod was more comfortable (It's lighter weight and I like the handle and grip better). However, what I like better about the the Compre is that it comes in eight foot. Which would most likely work better?Answers

Each Angler will have a preference over one rod then the other. Your best bet is to stick with what feels comfortable and you will be able to handle.Bass Pro Shops offers a "no hassle" return policy.
