Wherever you find fishable water, you'll find a reason to put this dependable rod to the test. Every model is strong and sure, with time-honored actions throughout the line. Now laced with boron, the Medallion offers a level of sensitivity unmatched by other rods in its class. Its 35 million boron/graphite matrix blank offers excellent "feel" at the tip with plenty of power to the butt, with Fuji® aluminum oxide guides, a graphite exposed-blank reel seat, a multi-purpose lure keeper, and premium cork handle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Rod I have this paired w/ the bps muskie reel and i love it for live bait. Ive caught the biggest bass, catfish, and pike of my life on this combo I must get. April 18, 2010
Rated 2 out of 5 by not as advertised i bought this rod because of the price and the advertised exposed blank reel seat. when i got the rod it was not an exposed blank reel seat at all. i am not sure that it was even a through the handle blank. needless to say, i sent the rod back for a refund May 31, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by great product I use this rod for muskys in my local lake and pitchin in the mississsippi river March 21, 2008

I would like to pair one of these rods with the calcutta 400b but I don't know which rod I should get. I held both in the store and I think the browning rod was more comfortable (It's lighter weight and I like the handle and grip better). However, what I like better about the the Compre is that it comes in eight foot. Which would most likely work better?

Each Angler will have a preference over one rod then the other. Your best bet is to stick with what feels comfortable and you will be able to handle.

Bass Pro Shops offers a "no hassle" return policy. If the item was purchased through the catalog or online, you may return it to us at the catalog center or the store within 30 days of purchase if the item does not work.

Unfortunately, this is a casting rod for baitcasst reels.

A:
No. It's a casting rod. The guide seats are too close to the blank.

A:
No, this is a casting rod. It had a casting trigger and small eyelets.
