probably best tool to quickly and cleanly dress any game animal.Very good steel,holds edge well and can be sharpened reasonably quickly with good oilstone. little difficult to clean in the field, but very efficient. I like it very much. light strong and compact.

I have buddies who carry a field dressing kit with them. This is the ONLY knife you need. Use it, clean it, oil it...you won't need anything else for a long time!

After using all the name brands, and many models of hunting knives, I found this knife over ten years ago.I have purchased 3 backups in fear of browning discontinuing this model. I have yet needed the three backups. Sharpened the knife after 2 elk, 3 deer, and 2 javalina. It has since seen use on 3 deer, and 1 elk. ABOSLUTELY the best hunting product I own! After sharpening my friends and families knives for the past 20 years I have finally started to take the knives they give me to sharpen and replace them with this knife. Saves me a lot of wasted time!

When the deer hunt is on - this knife is on my belt.
Picked this knife up 2 seasons ago. Wanted a knife that:
1) kept an edge
2) had a blade shape to handle all cuts
3) had a saw blade that worked - to cut pelvis bone
4) had a hook to take care of the skin and gut
It has earned my respect for performing all of the above.
This is a beautiful looking knife, made in Japan.
At the end of season after slicing several deer, all it needs is a light touch-up on the main blade.
I love this knife.
