If an open pit grill is what you want buy this grill!
With minimal work to put together you cant beat this for large outdoor grill and general use firepit.
Be aware that this is really not a grill for just a couple of people. You can literally cook 15 good size steaks on this thing. Im looking forward to warmer days when I can have several friends come over with thier own stuff to grill. It will be perfect. Not sure about the rotisary attachment as there isnt any way to keep in place other than standing there holding/turning by hand..

The cowboy firepit was an early Christmas gift and a total success. It is versatile and the instructions were clear. We love it.

cooked on this thing a couple of times and I am very impressed with it... it does a good job of keeping the fire going until ALL of the coals are completely burned up. and smokes enough to keep the mosquitos at bay with just a small fire going. Very sturdy built and the bowl should last a long time due to its thickness which I was surprised by. I would recommend this to a friend and I expect to put this thing on the deck and use it next time. it seems very safe as well.

No, the Browning Cowboy grill is intented primarily for firewood, but can also us charcoal.Plus it is very heavy and is bigger than it looks in the picture. Not the type of thing you would want to haul to a camp ground unless you were going to spend some time there.
