"this shotgun is the greatest weight is just right for me cuz i like my shotguns on the heavier side cuz i can slowdown my swing alot faster than lets say an 870 when i went trap shooting with my friend which had an 870 first we shot a 25 for trap and we shoot just about the same at about 20 and for our second 25 we tried each others guns for that round and we each did horrible i mean less than 10
if u feel up to buying a little heavier gun than buy this one cuz the extra weight helps alot"

Let's just say it fell off of my boat into the ocean. Found it about hour later with sand/mud all over it. Rinsed it off in the ocean loaded it up and ended up killing 2 redhead ducks. It's been about year, no miss fires, no jams, and no rust. $700 for pump says the quality.

I have the duratouch camo version of this gun and it is a brute. It has been through 5 tough waterfowl seasons and hundreds of rounds at the sporting clay range without a single failure. I've been in single digit temps chipping the ice off of it, wiping the mud out of the action and it just keeps trucking. It is easy to break down and clean. It is a bit heavy to carry around all day, but well worth the money.

I have an older model (at least 20 years old) BPS 12 guage. There is a lever just at the back base of the pump handle I can't figure out it's purpose. It has 2 letters (positions): "S" & "R".The lever flips to either of those positions, but I can't seem to find any info online regarding what it's purpose is. I was given this gun as a child and never really bothered with that lever until now.
What does this lever do?

That's the magazine cut-off. It allows you to eject a shell without feeding another from the magazine. You can then manually load a single shell. For instance, if your magazine is loaded for duck hunting and you see an opportune goose, you can change to a different load for a single shot without having to cycle through your entire magazine to load different shot.1 of 1
