great on beach or boat Been using these for about 6 months now. Both boat and surf fishing. They cut braid well show no signs of corrosion I do rinse them with my rods and reels after a day of fishing. Use them primarily for hook out on toothy fish. I have also used the split ring tip on a few occassions. I've had cheap models that rusted after a day on the water and they never left the holder on my boat. one of the other positives is the belt clip on the holster/ scabbard. Stayed on my belt without problem and the lanyard does not get in the way. So far worth the investment. Cheaper than the high end titanium brands, I'd love to own them but they are pricy for my blood. Buy them and enjoy you wont be disappointed. January 29, 2014
Wonderful Pliers !!! I bought these after having a couple pairs rust up in a hurry. These are better than I could have imagined. They look good, are light weight, and will cut the hull off of a battleship. I made a lanyard for them, but you can wear them on a belt also. I did this because I usually fish in a swimsuit. They have a partial rubber handle for non slip, and I love the fact I can replace the cutting blades. I use these in both fresh and saltwater and plan on having them for years to come. August 6, 2014
Best Pliers Best pair of Pliers I have ever purchased, holding up well in a salt environment, easy to use and well made. I recommend them to anyone September 28, 2014
Pleased I kayak fish mostly, so these now live in my kayak. Which means they do not get washed off often. They seem to be holding up well and do the what they are designed for. Looks like I'll have to buy my girlfriend a set too... May 12, 2014

They are spring loaded. You have to squeeze on them to sheath them or they remain open. Wonderful set, for both freshwater and saltwater.
