Brinkmann's Max Fire Marine Dual LED Rechargeable Spotlight is the perfect spotlight to have on your boat, in your vehicle or around the house. Made with a lightweight yet tough ABS plastic housing, the cordless Max Fire Rechargeable Spotlight lets you switch between single and dual LED mode. The rechargeable 6V 2.3 Ah battery provides five hours of illumination with single LED or 3 hours of lighting with the dual LEDs on. In addition to a comfortable pistol grip handle, the light has a fold-down metal bracket which enables convenient hands-free lighting. Includes 120V AC charging adapter and 12V DC car charger with coiled cord.

I use it periodically outside and have not yet had to place it on recharge, so it definitely holds a charge for as long as described. Such an excellent spotlight that I now have two. January 10, 2011

yes you can charge it in the house and car. Its not heavy at all, i njust don't know if it will shine far across a field.
