I bought this as a gift for my husband and it was money well spent. He loves it, it works great, the meat comes out perfect and it is much lower maintenance than the standard charcoal/wood chip smoker which requires a lot of tending to. We have had a lot positive comments on the meat we have smoked in it so far (beef, pork, venison).

LOVE THIS SMOKER
After using gas smokers i have really enjoyed my Bradley electric smoker that my wife got me for christmas. all i have to do is set the temperature and timer for smoking and cooking and forget it. no more having to miss part of the race on sunday while i go out to check temperatures or worry about food burning. every husband should have one!!

Best smoker on the market for the money....set smoking time and set oven temp and cooking time. Sit back and wait until some of the best smoked meat/fish is ready....highly recommend the product...

As a general safety rule, and for your comfort........outside is much safer and your don't want to smoke up your residence. Ideally but not absolutely, in an area that is not to windy and out of the rain. This just makes your smoking temperature and monitoring consistant and simplified.
It can be used inside but I would not recommend it for safety reasons, and also only the electric model. Definetly dont run the smoke side of the smoker inside closed doors or your house or garage will definatly suffer smoke damage.
Only if you want the inside of your house to smell like smoke. A smoker cooks the meat at a very low temp, but produces a tremendous amount of smoke to help with the cooking/flavoring of the meat. Smokers are definitely for outdoor use only.
