I use the Bracketron™ Nav-Mat Portable GPS Dash Mount Holder - Model UFM-100-BL with my Garmen NUVI. It works really well. Stays in place and is easy to use with my GPS. Beats connecting it to the windshield.

Although the unit uses the original equipment suction cup to mount to the dash unit, it has remained in place in the dash unit and the dash mount has not moved from where I put it. I have taken some pretty hard corners and stomped the gas a few times but the dash mount stays where you put it. My wife thinks it's wonderful because she doesn't have to catch it when it falls off the windshield. Highly recommended.

I bought this item since the original window mount to my GPS stopped working. After receiving the product I was immediately satisfied. Used the product in the city and on back roads and no matter what the conditions were my GPS stayed in place.

The mat is great and stays in place on the Dashboard. You will need a holder for your phone or GPS. The holder that fits on the windshield by suction will fit on this mat. I use mine for my GPS.
