Rated 1 out of 5 by Diggs Lone star betrayed me LOL! Unless i ended up with a defective unit, i could not get this detector to work. I went thru every setting, even went as far as lay coins on the ground outside and the detector missed completely or was very intermittent. I would go over obvious metals and nothing. It was very intermittent, it would detect something, i would dig, nothing, and would go over again with the detector and it would not detect,oh well. I guess you get what you pay for January 16, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by sleeslone 1st detector and last purchased this same model over 4 years ago,,and havent had the first sign of trouble.use it at the beach and in school yards without failure.was my first metal detector,and seems to be holding up quite well.only takes time to master ground balance.wet conditions havent been a problem. February 15, 2010
