I made numerous mistakes in purchasing this radio. 1. I purchased it and did not install it until about 2 months later. Had I installed it within the 30 day store guarantee period, then i would have known it would not even turn on and i would have returned it for a full refund. 2. After I did install it and it would not work , even after just the 30 days , the manufacturer made me pay for postage to return this piece of junk to him, and when I got it back , then and only then did it turn on when i installed it However it still did not pick up any stations, AND the remote control still did not work at all. Trying to give it the benefit of doubt. I took it on a trip to the shore where i KNEW there was a station within 5 miles of where I would be, and it did pick up the station in a garbled lack of reception, What a piece of JUNK !!!!!!! is this item. afterward i purchased a small portable radio for only $5.00 and it worked 1000 times better than this worthless BOSE , so called radio, I would not recommend this radio to my worst enemy. If you buy it , you will be donating your money to BASS PRO store and the manufacturer.
