Was having problems with squirrels, raccoons, and cattle getting into my timer, I made a guard several year ago, but needless to say it was not heavy enough. Since I installed this varmint guard on the bottom of my feeder I have had no problem with the animals draining out my feeder, this guard is easy to install and very well built, matter of fact, I plan to order 4 more, best investment I have made in years!

Wow ! Guys this is the best guard I have ever found to keep the coons, opossums and even small bears from robbing my feeder. I am ordering another today for a second feeder. This guard will pay for its self in saving the feeder from damage. If I could give it 10 Stars I would. As for the mounting screws, they are self-tapping. Drill a pilot hole and then snug them up. No need to over tighten.

This is a great investment. The screws need improvement. Not very strong. Just used my own. The coons were spinning out and eating along with the hogs over a hundred pounds of corn a week, Now, They have no access! Saves money all the way around. Great item. Easy to install.

They seem to be doing a good job keeping the coons out. The squares are a little big for keeping squirrels out. But what I did was put some other wire over the top to keep the squirrels out. The clips that holds them together where you open and close them are very cheap made. Overall with a little modification they work great. Feed is to expense to feed coons!!
